Audacious Ontology by Audacious
http://audaciousontology.blogspot.com/
Blogs posted of a personal nature, represent purely fictional ramblings from the voices in my head. Any reproduction of characters, reference, thoughts, ideas, etc. expressed are not actually mine. So any entries of a personal nature, such as names, situations or events that may seem similar to reality etc., either past or present must be purely coincidental.

dressingtomakehistory by Christina
http://dressingtomakehistory.wordpress.com/
Cultural and Historic societies and festivals are everywhere. Whether you are a regular participant or find these festivals an occasional, pleasant escape from our highly technological world, you will need something to wear, to “fit” in. Or maybe you have been “volunteered” by your well meaning child to help build the costumes for this years school play. Where do you start. Do you need to buy expensive patterns? Do you need to be an accomplished seamstress or tailor? Do you need a degree in Arts / History / Design? No…not really. In my 30+ years as the festival goer , “volunteered” mother of well meaning child and general resource on the subject of sewing I can honestly say that with a bit of guidance and a basic knowledge of how to use a sewing machine just about anyone can create a costume. Easy to follow, no-nonsense advice and tips on research and sewing of historic re-production clothing from the medieval and renaissance period.
